“Your Country Needs You!” Experience – FREE EVENT

Your Country Needs You! … at The Rifles Museum for a fascinating, fun and FREE look at the First World War with Trowbridge Museum and their WW1 recruitment workshop. Discover what happened when men volunteered for King and Country then have your photograph taken in uniform – the perfect memento for your sweetheart back home –  or try on a nurse’s outfit and experience life as a Voluntary Aid Detachment nurse – only for those with a strong constitution! The recruitment office is open to all ages and you can drop-in from 10.30 to 12.30, and all children attending get FREE entry to the Rifles Museum on the day.

The museum will also be displaying ‘A Child’s War’ exhibition from Saturday 8th April to Saturday 3rd June, as part of the HLF funded ‘Wiltshire at War’ project. Do pop in over this time to see it.

November open Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00am – 5:00pm. Closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Last admission is at 4:15pm
